The ability to use Android on a Nintendo console has been a source of competition between developers, especially since the Tegra X1 SoC works perfectly on Android, the operating system of the Nintendo Switch being just a custom software overlay of Nintendo.
A complete port of Android could expand the capabilities of the console and its software library.
Developer Max Keller, also known as “langer Hans”, showed a video of an unofficial Android port running on a Switch.
On this video some applications including a test of the WebKit browser are launched, the transition from portrait to landscape mode and Wifi in operation and the Bluetooth. However, GPU drivers are not behaving properly at this time, causing bugs during operation.
